The Missing Piece in Your Clinical Toolkit
A Specialized ADHD-EFT Integration Framework
6-Hour Training for EFT Therapists
In her 10 years of clinical practice, nearly 25% of couples who sought couples therapy with Grazel had at least one undiagnosed ADHD partner. Other couple presentations include: dual ADHD and ASD or AuDHD-impacted partnerships and a dual ADHD-impacted relationship where one partner identifies as the more organized ADHD partner (identifying as a Neurotypical).
Is ADHD derailing your EFT interventions?
When couples don’t respond to your carefully crafted EFT approach, unrecognized ADHD traits may be the reason. This 6-hour training will help you:
Identify when ADHD traits are influencing attachment behaviors
Adapt your EFT interventions for neurodiverse couples
Transform treatment-resistant cases into success
What You’ll Learn: From Frustration to Breakthrough
- ADHD through the Attachment Lens
- Assessment and Cycle Identification
- Stage 1 Interventions: Adapting EFT De-escalation techniques for ADHD impacted couples utilizing neurodiverse-affirming language
- Stage 2 Interventions: Deepening and Restructuring techniques for ADHD impacted couples utilizing neurodiverse-affirming language
Date: May 3, 2025
Time: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. PDT (one-hour lunch break)
Location: Live online training on Zoom
Investment: $80 / $40
CE Credits: 6 hours available
Perfect for: EFT-trained therapists who want to expand their effectiveness with neurodiverse couples
Already overbooked? This training will save you hours of frustration with challenging couples and prevent burnout from unsuccessful interventions.
Grazel Garcia, is an LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent affirmative therapist, an ADHD expert, a certified Emotionally-focused therapist for individuals, couples and families, and an EFCT supervisor in training. She identifies as a gay woman of color, first generation Filipino-American and speaks fluent Tagalog. She received her MFT from California State University of Northridge and completed her training hours at the Los Angeles LGBT Center as a therapist and a clinical psychosocial case manager in a multidisciplinary team at the LGBT Jeffrey Goodman Clinic.
Grazel owns a small group practice in Atwater Village, Los Angeles with several employees/associates and manages a neuropsychological testing department. She provides EFT + ADHD/AuDHD training to private group practices, EFCT clinicians, and at other ADHD organizations. Grazel was recently recruited by Melissa Orlov, the author of ADHD Effects on Marriage, to work for her as one of her ADHD experts helping coach other ADHD couples. Grazel’s approach to treatment comes from a liberatory approach to therapy that acknowledges how systems of power, intergenerational patterns, and social structures impact mental wellness. She is also trained in treating domestic violence, addiction, OCD, trauma, grief & loss, personality disorders utilizing other forms of treatment from evidenced-based practices and psychoanalytic treatment modalities including mentalization-based and transference-focused treatments for Borderline and Narcissistic Personality Disorders. Most importantly, Grazel is in a neurodiverse romantic relationship and is passionate in serving the marginalized communities she belongs to.
In addition, Grazel Garcia is working on publishing an ADHD in Couples book in Summer of 2025. This book is focused on helping neurodiverse couples and neurodiverse affirming therapists bridge gaps in mental health treatment. If you’d like to sign up for the book launch or receive relevant teaching information about neurodiversity in individuals and couples + EFT, you may sign up at info@grazelgarciatherapy.com
